Dogs are very welcome at Hendre House Cottages. They are part of the family after all. We know from our own experiences with our two black Labradors (Jessie and Bea) how wonderful Pembrokeshire is for a dog friendly break.
We have many fantastic walks nearby including the 2 mile stretch of golden sand at Newgale, the wonderful woodland walks at Abermawr and Aberbach, which include woollen mills and wonderful beaches, the walk from Porthgain to Abereiddy taking in an old brickworks and the blue lagoon, to St Davids airfield with all the second world war history to mention a few.
All of our gardens/patios are enclosed and provide a haven for dogs and guests to relax and the general grounds are a great place for some exercise. We also have a dog wash area for a quick shower off after exploring.
There are also many dog friendly pubs and cafes to visit locally and the local ice cream shops at Pointz Castle and in St Davids even serve dog friendly ice-cream!
We supply a welcome pack for our four legged visitors including information about local dog friendly walks, attractions and pubs/cafes, dog treats and poo bags are also included. We are also happy to supply dog bowls (for water and food) and a dog cage. We do not supply dog beds, our guests to date have wanted to bring their own.
Dogs can be left in the cottage for short periods providing they are well behaved.
Because of the size of our cottages and gardens we recommend up to 2 dogs per cottage but we are happy to discuss your requirements. A charge of £20 applies per dog.
